In France at present, by waiting for an adaptation of the rule for ultralight helicopters, every person wishing to pilot a helicopter necessarily has to obtain pilot's license deprived of helicopter (PPL-H).
Conditions of obtaining:
Be over 17 years.
To be declared capable of the aeronautical visit classifies 2 (approved doctor DGAC).
Satisfy the theoretical exam (5 modules, 120 QCM, 75 % to every module).
45 hours of instruction minimum for a pupil without experience.
39 hours for a pilot plane (if 60 hours and more flight as CDB).
Satisfy the practical exam (2 hours of flight approximately).
Budget to be foreseen: between 15.000 and 20.000 €!
Annual continuation:
Have an aeronautical medical certificate in the course of validity.
Have made 2 hours of flight as pilot doubles command or captain on the type of helicopter during the period of validity.
Satisfy a control of competence over the type of helicopter to be extended.
